This checklist is designed to help you determine whether your new helmet fits correctly and is safe to ride with before you remove tags or ride in it.Helmet fit is one of the most important factors in rider safety. A helmet that doesn’t fit correctly can’t protect you as intended — even if it’s brand new.Take a few minutes to go through the steps below in order.
Initial Fit (Out of the Box)
Helmet goes on with firm, even resistance
Does not slide on easily or feel loose
Feels snug around the cheeks and crown
No sharp pain or pressure points
Helmet Position on Your Head
Helmet sits level (not tilted back)
Eye port sits just above the eyebrows
